Robot.

This is the hobby side of what I love to do. I wanted to build a 1/3rd scale robot that can be posed for photos.

I love 1/3rd scale because that is what the Thunderbirds puppets are.

I tried to keep it as close to classic kit bash model making as I could.

The helmet was carved in balsa wood then clad in styrene. The soft wood was then carved out and the shell detailed.

The body was a wood box covered in kit details.

I use camera mount ball and socket joints for all the joints. They are strong and hold a bit of weight.

Everything was cast so I can make several versions.
